An introduction to General-Purpose GPU programming.
Cost-benefit analysis of emplying this "not-anymore-so-novel" hardware for accelerating computations in physics modelling and simulations.
A hands-on account of a personal experience given by A. Schiavi, SBAI Department.
The seminar is targeted in particular to grad students who are considering to approach GPGPU programming in their thesis work.
Examples of applications will be presented and demonstrated.
